Tsampoulas - Petrino
Tavern in Pramanta
_______

butcher - farm

The burden of the livestock breeding family tradition left by "grandpa Giannis" Tsampoulas was initially borne by his son, Vassilis, and today falls on the backs of his namesake grandson, Giannis.

Before carving well, it ascends to the pastures, on the ridge of Tzoumerka, Baros, at 1900 meters altitude, which is also the natural border between Epirus and Thessaly.

Most of the year, for about 8 months, his herds, numbering hundreds of cows, goats and lambs, graze freely on the mountain slopes and, the rest of the time they are stabled, fed on pure traditional fodder. Also, the livestock unit has dozens of pigs. As soon as he finishes his daily chores, early in the morning, noon for him, Giannis opens the butcher shop.

All the meats (lamb, goat, goat, goat, lamb, mutton, veal, as well as the free-range roosters) are of his own production.
